WALKCYCLE4AIR Privacy Policy

WALKCYCLE4AIR - Walking & Cycling in Lanarkshire (hereafter referred to as 'the App’) is a free mobile app detailing 13 walking/cycling routes around Strathclyde Country Park, Lanarkshire, Scotland. Using GPS, the App guides you along the route and highlights points of historical and natural interest. In addition, the App provides information about bike maintenance, local walking groups,  activities and events in Strathclyde Park and air quality in Lanarkshire. Use of the App constitutes your acceptance of these Terms and Conditions, taking effect on your first use. icecream architecture (hereafter referred to as ICA), North Lanarkshire Council (hereafter referred to as NLC) and South Lanarkshire Council (hereafter referred to as SLC) reserve the right to change these terms and conditions at any time by posting changes online. You are responsible for regularly viewing information posted online to obtain timely notice of such changes. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of this agreement as modified by the posted changes. Introduction

WALKCYCLE4AIR is an digital mobile application - hereafter referred to as the App - focussed on improving health and air quality in North and South Lanarkshire. It is commissioned by North Lanarkshire Council and South Lanarkshire Council (hereafter referred to as the Commissioning Organisations). icecream architecture are under contract by the Commissioning Organisations to develop and manage the App.

This privacy policy will set out how icecream architecture and the Commissioning Organisations uses personal data submitted through the App

What Information is being collected?

When you create an account in the App, we collect the following data: a) your username, b) your Email address, c) a phone number.

No additional data is collected directly by the App.

When using the App, you are requested to share your Location, however you can decline permission to share this or change this permission using the Settings on your mobile device.

Consent

The data that we collect is subject to active consent by the data subject. This consent can be revoked at any time by contacting the Data Protection Officer (see below).

will we use your data?

Business purposes

We collect your data so that we can: a) record user scores on the Treasure Trail game, b) communicate with the winner(s) of the Treasure Trail prize draw and c) analyse how many people have entered the draw. In the latter case, all data is anonymised. If you agree to this Data Protection Policy, icecream architecture will share your data with the Commissioning Organisations so they can administer the prize draw and monitor usage of the App.

The competition ended on the 31st August 2021. For users who sign up after this date, we no longer ask for a contact phone number

How do we store your data?

icecream architecture securely stores your data within a password-protected database hosted within data centres in the European Union. Access to the database is restricted to the icecream architecture staff members: Sarah Frood, Desmond Bernie, Jim Bevington, Etzali Hernandez and Agnieszka Tarsa.

icecream architecure retains this data for the period of the prize draw, ending in September 2021. After this date, all phone number data will be deleted. All data will be retained for no more than 5 years, including the period before September 2021. Once this time period has expired, we will delete your data by closing and destroying the password-protected database.

What are your data protection rights?

icecream architecture would like to make sure you are fully aware of all of your data protection rights. Every user is entitled to the following:
