Introduction
This app will guide you on a bespoke heritage trail between Chatelherault Country Park, home of the Duke of Hamilton’s 18th Century Hunting Lodge and Low Parks 5* Museum.
By unpacking Hamilton’s heritage in various ways - from videos through historical facts to questions for kids - this app encourages people of all ages to have fun exploring and engaging with the landscape around them.
As you make your way along this 5km walking/cycling route, you will discover 17 distinct heritage markers at key locations. Use the app to discover fascinating information, beautiful archival images and links to further reading about each point.
National cycle routes and public transport links are highlighted to encourage active travel to, from and throughout the trail.
This app has been produced as part of the wider Chatelherault to Low Parks Heritage Trail project, including the physical heritage markers and paper/digital versions of the route map which can be found at: www.slleisureandculture.co.uk.
The project is managed and commissioned by South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture Trust and is funded by the Smarter Choices, Smarter Places - Paths for All grant scheme.

What information is being collected?

- Walklog, which is collected as you finish your walk or cycle.
- Analaytics related to crash reports and user feedback.
- We do not collect any personal data from you.

You directly provide Chatelherault to Low Parks Heritage Trail with most of the data we collect. We collect data and process data when you:
- Submit your walklog at the end of your walk or cycle.
How will we use your data?

- The walklog data is used to understand how many people are using the app and to help us improve the app.
How do we store your data?
Chatelherault to Low Parks Heritage Trail securely stores your data within a password-protected database hosted within data centres in the European Union. Access to the database is restricted to the Chatelherault to Low Parks Heritage Trail technical team.
